OVERALL IMPACT: Throughout the year, we were able to hold in-class presentations in our school to bring awareness to our project and the issue that we are focusing on. We did this through a number of methods such as interactive games that were Jeopardy themed. In addition, we've used Instagram as our main social media platform to reach out to people not only to followers that go to our school, but to other people that are outside of our school. Our group was involved in a STEM Symposium, similar to a science fair in which we presented our issue and the methods that we've approached to resolve it, which make up our project. We presented to adults from outside organizations, as well as adults involved in our school and fellow classmates. Our main activity that we focused was a Female Hygiene Product Donation Drive. We worked with the American Red Cross club in our school to host this week long event, receiving hundreds of products. We were able to turn them into 120 care packages with essential products such as pads, tampons, deodorants, tissues, and feminine wipes. We have also had additional surveys for everyone that brought awareness to our project and just how significant it was, receiving over 250 responses.
